Los Angeles Traffic Schools Online

Los Angeles Traffic Schools

As a former driving instructor, I’m fully aware that nobody actually wants to take traffic school. If you found your way to this page, chances are you got a traffic ticket and are looking for the fastest, easiest, and cheapest Los Angeles traffic schools. I’m here to help!

In this short guide, I’ll show you the best Los Angles traffic schools you can take online. I was not only a driving instructor, but I also helped to create online driver training programs. I’m able to provide some insider knowledge on these traffic school courses as well as provide coupons, discount links, etc. Listed below are my top recommendations complete with reviews and reasons why I think they are the best. Further down this page, you’ll find a complete list of all Los Angeles traffic schools you can take online.

Let’s get this over with as quickly as possible!

1. iDriveSafely (Fastest Course)

idrivesafely

iDriveSafely is my top pick as the best Los Angeles traffic school online. There are several reasons for this. The first reason is it is the fastest course to get through. The state of California does not require “course timers” to be used, so usually, you can get through any Los Angeles online traffic school pretty quickly. However, I found that I could get through iDriveSafely faster than any other traffic school. This is mostly a text-based course, meaning you can fly through each page pretty much as quickly as you want. You do need to pass a quiz after each section (total of 6 sections), but the quizzes are very easy to pass. If you need some additional help, you can check out some iDriveSafely quiz answers here.

iDriveSafely does not have a dedicated app, but the course is mobile friendly and works well on my iPhone. Just like any other traffic school on this list, you can log in and out of the course whenever you want and switch between devices. Some of the course material does feel a bit outdated, but in the end, who really cares, right? If you can get it done fast, easy, and cheap, that’s really all you need. 2. Aceable (Most Modern & Mobile Friendly)

Aceable Drivers Ed

Aceable is one of the newer traffic schools in Los Angeles, but that is actually a good thing. The vast majority of online traffic schools in Los Angeles are really outdated. Since Aceable is a newer course that was just built from the ground up a few years ago, everything about it feels modern. From the user interface to the course material itself, it just feels intuitive to use.

If you plan on taking your traffic school course from a phone or tablet, I’d say Aceable is probably your best choice. Aceable is the only Los Angeles traffic school that uses a dedicated mobile app. They did a really nice job with the app, earning it 4.9 stars in the Apple app store with over 20k reviews. If you prefer to use a laptop or PC, you can still take it that way and even switch between devices as you progress through the course.

I found that Aceable took slighly longer to get through than iDriveSafely, but it was pretty close and I still got through the entire course in under 2 hours (instead of 6 hours in a classroom). Aceable does have some videos througout the course, but the videos are optional and only really seem to slow things down, so I recommend just skipping them. 3. Improv Traffic School (Most Entertaining)

Improv Traffic School

Improv Traffic School is a unique traffic school in Los Angeles and it might even be my own personal favorite. Improv Traffic School began in Los Angeles by offering comedian led traffic school courses back before you could take traffic school online. Improv Traffic School fully understands that traffic school is boring. So, they got some Hollywood comedians to become traffic school instructors. Instead of being lectured at for 6 hours, they turned traffic school into a comedy club of sorts. Here’s a video below that helps to showcase the type of humor they use:

Fortunately, you don’t need to spend 6 hours in a classroom anymore. They now offer their comedy based Los Angeles traffic school online. Most people are able to get through this course in a couple of hours. As with some other courses, they do have some videos and even games in the course, but they are all optional. Some of the videos are pretty funny, but if you’re just going for speed, you can skip through them.

While Improv Traffic School is mobile friendly, I found that the experience is much better on a laptop or PC. Since they don’t have a dedicated mobile app, some of the page load times and other features take a little time to load, but it’s nothing terrible. The quizzes and final exam are simple to pass, so this also helps to save time. They offer a money-back guarantee so if you try the course and don’t like it, you can get your money back. And finally, Improv Traffic School will give you a couple of free tickets to one of their comedy clubs which is valued at $30 per ticket, so that’s a pretty cool bonus that nobody else has. 4. Go To Traffic School (Cheapest Option)

Go To Traffic School

Go To Traffic School was one of the very first online traffic schools in Los Angeles. They have literally been around for decades and have had millions of people take their course throughout California. While they don’t have Hollywood comedians or state of the art mobile apps, there is one main selling point of Go To Traffic School – They’re cheap! If you find a cheaper traffic school in Los Angeles, they will match or beat the price.

Surprisingly, even though they are the most affordable option, the course quality is still pretty darn good. Just a couple years ago, Go To Traffic School did a full revamp of their course. It is now updated with modern interactive videos, a better user platform, and it is optimized for use with phones and tablets. This is mostly a text-based traffic school with some options videos and games.

As far as the tests and quizzes, they were pretty easy, but I found some of the questions to be a little strange. Some of the questions cover things in the course such as remembering the specific color of a car that was used in a graphic or animation. Presumably, this is to make sure you were paying attention through the course, but it makes it a little bit more difficult to pass the quizzes without having to go back to find the right answer, which causes the course to take a little bit longer. Not a huge deal, but it’s a bit of an annoyance.

Other than that, if you just want to get your Los Angeles traffic school done as cheaply as possible, Go To Traffic School is a good choice with a proven history. If you want to learn more about Go To Traffic School, check out my more detailed Go To Traffic School review.

Why You Shouldn’t Take Los Angeles Traffic Schools In A Classroom

While most people choose to take their Los Angeles traffic schools online, there are still a whole lot of classroom-based traffic school courses in Los Angeles. There is really no advantage of taking your traffic school in a classroom. In the entire state of California, classroom-based traffic school takes 6 hours, usually all on one day. Who wants to sit in a classroom with strangers on a Saturday while getting lectured to by an instructor? It doesn’t even save you money in most cases.

Online Los Angeles traffic schools are almost always faster, easier, and cheaper. Online traffic schools in California are not required to time you. In most other states, you are timed on each page of the course. You can only move to the next page when the timer hits zero. This is very annoying and very time-consuming. But, in California, this requirement doesn’t exist. That means you can just blow through each page as fast as possible. As long as you pass the quiz after each section, you can keep moving. Most of the quizzes are very easy. I get reports from people all the time who tell me they completed their Los Angeles traffic school in less than an hour by taking the course online.

Some people simply prefer to sit in a classroom rather than on their computer, but if you were wondering whether or not online traffic schools in Los Angeles are better than classroom courses, my recommendation is to just take it online.
