As a certified driving instructor, I’m well aware of how Indiana traffic school works. For starters, it’s boring. Yes, even taking your Indiana traffic school online is super boring. But, it’s way better than having to take your traffic school course in a classroom. Here are your basic options to dismiss your traffic ticket in Indiana:
- Option 1: Sign up for a course at your local community college and spend a Saturday sitting in a classroom with a bunch of strangers being lectured at by some driving instructor who probably doesn’t want to be there either.
- Option 2: Take your Indiana traffic school online and complete the course on your own schedule, from home, wearing your sweatpants (or nothing, if that’s what you prefer) while eating nachos while sitting in front of the TV.
Alright, so maybe you’re a weirdo and you don’t like nachos or like wearing clothes, but the point is, taking an online traffic school in Indiana is way better than sitting in a classroom. Wouldn’t you agree?
My Top 3 Recommended Indiana Online Traffic Schools
Like I said before, I’m a certified driving instructor and have assisted in developing various online driving courses myself (mostly truck driver training programs). If there was ever a person who was qualified to review online traffic schools in Indiana, I’m the guy.
Top Pick: iDriveSafely
So, my top pick for Indiana is iDriveSafely. They are certified by the Indiana BMV and also have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. On top of that, they have had more than 5 million people complete their course over the course of more than two decades.
But what really makes an online traffic school the best? Well, iDriveSafely is fast, easy, and cheap. Isn’t that all you really need? It’s not like you’re signing up for this by choice. You’re taking an Indiana traffic school because you basically have to, so who wants to pay extra for features you don’t care about anyway?
All the good things are there, though. iDriveSafely works well from mobile devices, so you can sit on your couch watching Netflix as you complete your traffic school. You can start and stop the course whenever you want, switch between devices, and customer support is available 24/7 so if you have trouble at night while you’re off work, it’s not a problem.

Second Pick: Improv Traffic School
Improv Traffic School is another very good online traffic school in Indiana. Truth be told, this may be my personal favorite even though it is listed as #2. The only real reason I listed it as #2 is because this is a comedy based course and not everyone has the same sense of humor I have.
In short, Improv Traffic School was developed by comedians from the nationwide chain of Improv Comedy Clubs. They understand that taking traffic school sucks and that you aren’t doing it by choice. That’s why they decided to make an online traffic school that is actually humorous. In my opinion, they did a great job on it!
This online traffic school isn’t just humorous though. It’s also among the cheapest online traffic schools you can sign up for. But the best part? It is the fastest allowed by state law. Of course you don’t want to spend a second longer than you have to, so they made it as quick and easy as possible. That’s another thing. If you can’t pass the quizzes in this course, you probably just shouldn’t be on the road. This course is super easy, so if you’re looking for an easy and humorous course, this is one you should check out.
Third Pick: DriversEd.com
DriversEd.com is who I recommend to younger drivers (21 and under). This online traffic school works for anyone of any age, but they are primarily an online drivers ed company so they have repurposed a lot of their teen drivers ed coursework for their online traffic school course.
With that said, DriversEd.com is of higher quality than most other courses since they do provide drivers ed training as well. In addition to their high quality written content, they also have some pretty cool 3D videos and animations to go along with the material. Some of the videos are interactive which makes them especially interesting. This course works well on mobile devices and the quizzes are very easy to pass.
DriversEd.com offers a moneyback guarantee, 24/7/365 U.S. based customer support and they have maintained a very positive reputation since they first launched way back in the 1990’s. I don’t have a specific review for their online traffic school, but I did go through the course and can say that it is higher quality than most other schools.Get The Best Price On DriversEd.com Here
Is An Indiana Driver Improvement Course The Same As Traffic School?
Yes, it’s the same thing with two different names. Sometimes Indiana refers to their traffic school program as an Indiana driver safety program. It’s all the same crap. The main thing you have to look out for is if the school is approved by the Indiana BMV. The two schools I recommended above are indeed approved in the entire state.
Warning! Indiana Traffic School is Boring!
I know, I’ve already warned you this is going to be boring but it’s worth mentioning again. I’ve received email before from people who are upset with me because I recommended an online traffic school and it was boring. Well, yeah. Every online traffic school approved in Indiana is boring. The reason I recommended the two schools above is because they are legit, cheap, meet the state mandated minimum time requirements, have a money back guarantee, offer 24/7/365 customer support, etc. I’m not saying it will be fun.
Take A Streaming Video Traffic School For Less Boredom
Most of the traffic schools you’ll find require lots of reading. If you’re more of a video person and don’t mind spending a few extra bucks, try out a streaming video online traffic school approved in Indiana. It’s still going to be boring, but I much prefer video to text. If you’re the same way, it’s a good option.
Best of luck to you and don’t worry, it will all be over soon!
