If you are signing up for an online traffic school, chances are pretty good you’re not doing it by choice. With that in mind, your main focus is probably to find a very easy traffic school online that you can finish fast and with the fewest headaches. As a driving instructor, I’ve had my fair share of experiences with online traffic schools and let me tell ya – there are some REALLY bad ones out there.
Before I give you some traffic schools that I personally believe are very easy, you have to keep one thing in mind. Traffic school SUCKS! It doesn’t matter which online traffic school you sign up for, they are all going to be boring and you’ll certainly want to do something else with your time. However, some online traffic schools are less boring than others for about the same price. Some are also easier and faster.
Since some states such as California have literally hundreds of traffic schools to choose from, I thought I’d give you my recommended traffic schools based on which ones are the easiest.
iDriveSafely is not just a very easy traffic school, it’s the single best online traffic school you can sign up for. Why? Well, first of all, a key aspect of of finding a very easy traffic school is finding one that is FAST. That’s where iDriveSafely excels.
Almost all online traffic schools have what are called “course timers” where you can only progress as fast as the timer will allow. While some states require course timers to be used for online traffic school courses, other states like California do not require them, even though some traffic schools still use them.
With iDriveSafely, you either will not have a course timer if one is not required, or you will get the fastest timer allowed by law. The quizzes and tests are SUPER easy and in fact, we even have some of the test answers right here. So get signed up with this course, check out our answers, and get it done quickly and easily. No fuss, no muss.
If you’re unfortunately enough to live in a state that requires your online traffic school to be timed, you’re in for a rough several hours. This is where Improv Traffic School comes in handy. Not only is this a very easy online traffic school, but it is actually pretty funny. This course was created by the Improv Comedy Club chain and what they did was genius.
They got a bunch of their comedians together and told them to develop a comedy based traffic school course. Now, I must warn you, this course is only a good course for those with a goofy sense of humor. It’s your classic slapstick style comedy, but noting is worse that sitting around waiting for a course timer to finish.
With this traffic school, while you wait for the timer to finish, you’ll have access to videos of hilarious stand-up acts that also teach you what you need to know in order to pass the course. I’m personally a huge fan of this one, but you might want to check out their course first and see if it’s the type of thing you’d enjoy.
Finding a very easy traffic school is only one aspect of your search. You should also find a traffic school that is cheap. It’s not like this is money you want to spend, so finding the lowest priced traffic school out there would be advantages for most of you.
While Go To Traffic School might not be as entertaining as the others, it is still a very easy traffic school to pass and better yet, they guarantee to be the cheapest traffic school around.
The biggest disadvantage of going with a low priced traffic school such as this one is that they don’t invest as much into their course. This has resulted in some poor experiences with their customer support team and has lowered their Better Business Bureau rating to a ‘B’ rating whereas the others I mentioned have an A+ rating.
You’re also not going to get high quality videos, graphics, or stand-up comedians in the course. If this stuff doesn’t matter to you and you just want a very easy traffic school for the cheapest possible price, this is it. They guarantee it.
How Hard Is Online Traffic School?
Honestly, no online traffic school that I’ve seen is that difficult. Generally, if it’s a timed course, it will take you 4 to 10 hours to complete depending on your local requirements. If the course is not timed, you can hammer it out within an hour or two. There are usually about 6 sections with a quiz at the end of each section.
The quizzes can normally be taken as many times as needed until a passing score is achieved. At the end of the traffic school, you’ll also need to complete a final exam. This final exam usually only allows a limited number of attempts to pass, but if you passed the quizzes, there’s no reason to believe you’d fail the final exam.
More than 99% of everyone who completes and online traffic school passes the final exam with no problems. All of the exams are timed, but you have plenty of time to research the answers if you don’t know the answer to a question.
Don’t Procrastinate – Do It NOW!
One of the biggest issues people have with online traffic school is procrastination. This will bite you in the butt later. In some states, your completion certificate is automatically sent to the court within’ 24 hours as per state requirements.
In others states, such as Texas, you will be mailed a completion certificate and you must personally hand in your certificate to the court. The processing time to complete those certificates can be 7 to 14 days. If you need “rush processing” you will be charged a hefty fee, often times exceeding $20.
I know traffic school sucks, but just choose one of the courses above and get er’ done as soon as you can. No reason to stress about this any longer.
How Do I Arrange To Attend Traffic School If I’m Eligible?
If you are eligible, your reminder notice will indicate that you have the option to attend traffic school. It will also indicate the total amount due to the court for this option. You can request traffic school online, by mail, via an express drop box, or in person. Traffic school lists are available at your local Department of Motor Vehicles.
How about Classroom Traffic School?
The traditional method is to take traffic school in a classroom. These classes are typically taught on weekends by certified instructors. Classroom traffic school will cover the material through videos, lectures, and/or live demonstrations. In the end, you will take your exam. And upon passing, you will have fulfilled your traffic school obligation.
Some of the advantages of taking the traditional classroom setup include the fact that you will complete traffic school in one day. Since it’s done in person, you can also ask your instructor if you have any questions.
However, I’d say that the cons of taking this option outweigh its pros.
First, you’ll spend 8 hours sitting in a classroom. Although other options can only take one to three hours, it’s still inconvenient as you have to travel and attend on time.
In addition, depending on your instructor, the material that you’ll use may be really boring. And when you’re bored, there’s a higher chance that you’ll miss important information.

Additional Tips For Finding A Very Easy Traffic School Online
If for whatever reason you don’t like my recommendations above, there are a few things you should look for when choosing an online traffic school.
For starters, don’t go with the new kid on the block. The online traffic schools I listed above have been around for more than 20 years and have had MILLIONS of people go through those courses.
A lot of the newer courses are very low quality, provide almost no support if you have any issues, and may not even provide very secure checkout options.
You’ll also want to find a course that allows you to log in and out of the course whenever you want. You don’t need to complete your traffic school all at once, so this is a great option to have. And finally, find something with 24/7/365 customer support.
Many states require “identity verification systems” throughout the course to make sure YOU are really taking the course. These systems are known to have issues, so having customer service provided when you need it is a good thing to have.
Other than that, most online traffic schools are strictly regulated by the state you’re in, so just make sure it is state certified where you live and you should be good to go.
Good luck and drive safely!
