Homeschool Drivers Ed

Drivers Ed

Homeschool Drivers Ed has been around for over a decade now. That's good news for you, because there are some real good companies with 10+ years experience and literally millions of happy graduates. Of course, not all homeschool drivers ed programs are good. Some are just in it to make a buck. Hopefully these reviews will help you in your decision of which online drivers education school to choose.

The warning signs

When looking at online driving schools, there are some red flags that should steer you away from certain schools. These are the main reasons people unknowingly sign up for a bad online driving school:

3rd party resellers

Do Not Enter

This is a trend that has really taken off. A website will be designed to look like a legitimate and unique homeschool drivers ed course. But in reality, they don't even own their own program. They simply resell the drivers education course from yet another site. So instead of signing up directly through a legitimate school, you're signing up through a middle-man. The consequences could mean anything from voiding money back guarantees to entering personal information through a non-secure website.

How to avoid the scam

Always check to see if your online homeschool drivers ed class is listed on the Better Business Bureau website. If they have a good score and have been around for a couple years, you should be good to go. If they aren't listed, be weary. It could be a third party provider you're signing up for. Sure, some good driving schools exist that aren't on the BBB website, but wouldn't it be nice to have that piece of mind?

Of course, you can always just pick one of the schools I recommended below. I not only made sure they are legitimate homeschool drivers ed courses with a solid history, I also took the courses myself. Isn't my life exciting?

Poor quality homepage or sales page

If a homeschool drivers ed company can't even maintain a nice, clean looking homepage, do you think the course will be much better? A poor looking homepage or sales page should be a key indicator that you should look elsewhere.

No money back guarantee

Nearly all online drivers education classes have some sort of a money back guarantee. It's pretty much an industry standard for online driving schools. If your course doesn't have one, look elsewhere.

No business history

Lots of homeschool drivers ed courses spring up and then quickly disappear. Make sure they've been in business for a while. If they are listed in the BBB directory, that should give you the year the business was created.

My recommended online homeschool drivers ed programs

Unlike with my online traffic school reviews, I can only recommend two online drivers ed programs. Why just the two? Because I expect more from a drivers ed program. Mediocre quality might be ok for ticket dismissal, but not for teens learning how to drive.

I've gone through quite a few courses, but I highly recommend you stick with one of the below homeschool drivers ed courses.

My top pick: iDriveSafely Teen Drivers Course

(Use link to see special pricing. Just choose your state.)

PARENTS: They created a special page just for you. Make sure you click on the "Parents Page" up on the top

Why I recommend them:

This is hands down the absolute best homeschool drivers ed program available on the web. School is boring, but they do their best to make it fun and interesting. They use some very nice, high quality graphics, videos, and animations throughout the course to spruce things up a bit.

As with any quality online drivers ed course, you can go at your own pace. Go as fast as your state regulations allow or go slower. Doesn't matter.

Of course, they have an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, have been in business for over 10 years, and are right on par in terms of price. This is hands down the best bang for your buck.

My second choice: DriverEdToGo

(Use promo code MRD000A23 when you sign up!)

Why I recommend them:

While this homeschool drivers ed course isn't as high quality, it is usually a bit cheaper. In fact, they guarantee the lowest price. Each state is different. Many states are the same price while others are significantly cheaper. This is for the budget minded student driver. While you aren't getting a premium service, you're not paying a premium price, either.

What do I mean by premium? Well, the animations are a bit lower budget, the site loads a bit slower, and I wasn't a huge fan of the overall "look and feel" of the site and the program.

But the reason I listed it here is because the actual quality and material is solid. This is a very good course as long as you don't want the added quality. Definitely a top choice for the budget minded who still wants a quality course with a great reputation at a cheap price.
