About Me and My Site BuildIt Journey

This page is purely about who I am and about my Site BuildIt Journey - also known as SBI or SiteSell. That's the company I use to build this website, how it generates residual income for me, and how I plan to quit my full time job so I can work for myself while my site earns a passive income. But more on that later...

Who exactly is "TruckerMike?"

Well, that's me! A nickname for me anyway. For the most part, I'm just a regular guy who has always been fascinated with driving. Be it a bicycle, an airplane, or anything else. If it moves and requires human control, I'm into it. I hold an FAA Private Pilot license, a CDL-A commercial drivers license, and have piloted everything from watercraft to horses. I've even ridden shotgun in a commuter train (yup, got to blow the horn and everything!). I'm not a real mechanical guy, but I sure do love to drive. Always have. Even as a kid my Big Wheel got a ton of use.

My professional life

Like all kids from where I grew up, I went to high school, then college, then got a fancy sounding office job that I was miserable at. I couldn't accept that I'd be working in a cubicle my entire life. So when I was laid off, I did something drastic. I became a truck driver.

These days, I absolutely love my job. I have been to every continental state in the US and get to drive a huge powerful beast of a vehicle. While it's a tough career with an extremely high turnover rate, I seem to thrive in it.

My site BuildIt journey

Even though I love my job as a truck driver, it's not something I want to do the rest of my life. I'd really like to travel for leisure instead of work. The 50 to 70hr work weeks are starting to get to me and I don't think I'll ever be truly happy until I can work for myself. So I had to find a solution. That's when I found Site BuildIt and this website was born.

How I started this website with no web building skills

My internet knowledge consisted of knowing how to search for information online. That's about it. But I wanted to start some sort of "business" from my truck. Something I could grow at my own pace, over time, and with minimal investment. Something that would provide me with the freedom to quit my job. Something that would allow me to work when I want and from where I want. After much research, I decided that Site BuildIt was the answer.

Why I chose SBI to make money online

I could go on forever about why I chose them. So instead of writing a book about why Site BuildIt is such a great way to build a real money making business online, I'll simply direct you to this video overview of SBI. It does a great job explaining how Site BuildIt works.

But does Site BuildIt REALLY work? Or is it just another "make money online" gimmick?

Honestly, I don't know yet. I'm just way too new at this. UPDATE--> As of July 2011, I have not only made my money back, but have made a profit with only ~100 unique visitors on average (see stats below). My site is now earning me a passive income and certainly has the potential to grow into something huge. Why didn't I do this sooner!? <---UPDATE

There are thousands of SBI success stories, that's for sure. I wont consider all of this a success until I quit my day job. But I can tell you that my traffic is already growing and I'm already making money while only building my site in my free time (which I don't have a lot of). Wanna see? Ok, I'll show you!

My SBI website stats

Here are my stats so far. I'll do my best to keep this updated. Check out the crazy growth in traffic so far! Also keep in mind, I registered this domain name in January 2011, but didn't start building the site until February 2011. My site was only about 20 pages by the end of February (I'm only doing this part time), so the traffic already is astounding!

Keep in mind, May isn't even over yet. My website traffic is absolutely soaring and this is only the beginning. I'll keep posting updates to show you. So yes, as far as getting traffic to a website, the Site BuildIt system is currently working its magic for me.

JUNE STATS UPDATE! Wow, check out how much my traffic grew in the month of June. I'm in an upward spiral!

JULY STATS UPDATE! This is just crazy. My traffic just keeps going up and up and really, I haven't done much to the site in the last couple months. I've been busy working on my two new sites:

I'm not making money from those sites yet, but I will as long as I continue to follow the SBI system! Anyway, here's my July traffic stats...

My SBI website income

As of this writing (May 24th, 2011) I only monetize from various forms of advertising on the site. I don't sell any of my own products or services, but am hoping to write an e-book on driving safety in the future to sell on this site. I'll update the below data each month.

May 2011: $49.94

June 2011: $301.24 - WOW!!! June paid for my full SBI subscription and then some! I'm hoping to double this income by next month. If that happens, my website will generate twice my monthly car payment! We'll see!

July 2011: $1,026.37 - Incredible. I don't think it's really hit me yet. I still don't feel like this is real. But when the checks come in on the 15th of August, it'll be very real. Depositing my checks from May and June were exciting. But over 1-grand? Wow. I'm on my way to financial freedom!!!
