What To Expect From Improv Online Traffic School: Oh What Fun!

What To Expect From Improv Online Traffic School

Improv Traffic School
Has it been awhile since you were in a classroom? And do you remember how much fun it was; just a total blast and a living riot to behold? Yeah, we didn’t think so.

School Is A Love-Hate Thing

Some people just love school; those who are still taking classes at a local college and look at themselves as life-long learners. We know, we can relate to that; everyone should keep learning and growing in life.

But not all of us enjoy sitting at a cramped desk for an hour or two (or more) at a time, taking notes and listening to lectures that make us want to roll our eyes (and maybe even roll our heads off onto the floor so we could at least have some entertainment).

All kidding aside, the classroom setting isn’t for everyone and if it’s not for you, your best bet is to try taking a class online.

Take A Class Online For Just About Anything

These days, not only can you take a class online, you can get an entire college degree online! Yes, even from highly accredited Universities! Hooray for the world; it sure is moving on up and opening doors for the chalkboard-challenged!

And the good news is, there are many things that you can get certified for online; want to learn to cook? Heat it up. Want to officiate your best friend’s wedding?

You got it, Pastor. Need to know how to write a song? See you at the Grammys. Want to reduce the points on your driver’s license? So long future suspension. Wait…what?

Traffic Violations Are No Joke

Yes, we all know that every state has its point system when it comes to traffic violations such as speeding and changing lanes the wrong way (what is the wrong way, anyway? Go to online traffic school and you’ll find out!).

Once you acquire too many of those points, you’ll find that you could be facing a license suspension.

At that point, you can either try to drive on eggshells for the next year, which seems nearly impossible, or you can get back to the classroom; or get out of the classroom as we like to say! If that sounds a little funny to you, it’s probably just the effect that Improve Traffic School has on us.

Yes, It’s The Famous Improv Comedy Club

The famous Improv Comedy Club created Improv Traffic School over 20 years ago. It prides itself on being fast (you can register and start your first class in less than a minute) and fun (because why should traffic school be boring?!) Improv has been voted #1 year after year and though they follow the motor vehicle laws in each state, they try to be the easiest traffic school out there.

Improv has worked with psychologists who know that there is a direct link to education and entertainment and they make learning a blast. The coolest thing about Improv is that once you complete the course, you get 4 VIP tickets to the Improv Comedy Club! If that doesn’t keep a smile on your face, then you’re a wet sock. Just joking! (Sheesh, looks like Improv is much better at this than we are!)

The Same As A Classroom, Except Different

Online traffic school operates by the same general guidelines as a traffic school classroom. The difference, of course, is that you don’t need to leave the house if you decide to do traffic school online; you don’t even need to get dressed if you don’t want to, but we’d advise you keep your curtains closed if you elect that route.

With Improv, you’ll get text, video, and lectures followed by quizzes that confirm that you are understanding the material. Yeah, okay, we know that sounds a lot like regular old school, but it’s still one of the most entertaining choices out there for online traffic school! And if you have to go, whether the court mandated it or you just want to score a lower rate on your traffic ticket fee, going to traffic school online is way better than hanging out in a stuffy classroom with a stuffy teacher.

Ya Might Learn Something New

The topics covered by Improv are the same topics that all traffic schools must cover; it’s all about safety.

But the way in which the topics are presented have a humorous edge, so you don’t fall asleep or roll your eyes; but you might end up rolling with laughter! When it comes to the rules of the road, many basic things are still the same as they were when you first got your license.

But there are some things that are different; like the fact that people use cell phones when driving and it can cause major accidents.

In fact, distracted driving has eclipsed DUI as a traffic safety concern (See, Improv taught us that!). So, while you work on your traffic point reduction, you might learn a few new things along the way.

One Of The Best

We think that Improv is one of the best online traffic schools you’ll find. Not only do they offer traffic school, but they offer driver education courses for adults and teens, and fleet training. They even provide practice permit tests for young drivers in some states so they can get an idea of what they might face before the test-pressure begins.

Improv is full of resources; even fun and entertaining blogs on everything from vehicle safety to car care and more. So if you want to go to classes to be an architect, this isn’t the place for you. But if you want to take classes to rebuild your driving record, you’ll be laughing all the way to the DMV.

Improv Online Traffic School FAQs

Are Improv defensive driving courses approved?

Improv courses for defensive driving courses are approved by a number of state and local agencies, including DMVs and Courts nationwide.

To be sure, it is always best to confirm with the concerned entity you were referred by if you can get credits for taking their online defensive driving course.

You may check with your local DMV, your court handler (if you received a court order or if you want to take the course for ticket dismissal or point reduction), and your insurance company (if you are hoping to get an auto insurance discount).

How long is the Improv Traffic School course?

The duration of the course will vary depending on the laws of the state where you are in.

However, in states where Improv is not a certified provider, their course should be around 6 hours and 30 minutes long. These courses can be completed at your own pace. This means you can spend an hour a day or complete the course in one sitting, whichever works best for you.

Do I have to take the course again if I don’t pass the final test?

No, you don’t have to take the course again. Improv allows you to take the exam multiple times, although there may still be variations depending on where you are. So make sure to always pay attention to the instructions during the registration.

Don’t worry, the test questions are entirely based on the chapter material you have previously covered so you should be able to recall the important concepts easily and answer simple multiple-choice or true/false questions!

Does Improv report my traffic school completion?

This one too will depend on where you are. This is because certificates and completion reporting is handled differently for each state, county, and/or court.

Don’t worry, you’ll be briefed about the certificates and completion reporting process in your state during registration, so make sure to pay attention to the instructions that Improv will provide.

What are the forms of payment accepted by Improv Traffic School?

Improv accepts online payment by using a credit card, bank debit card, or Paypal. They accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

If you are uncomfortable submitting your payment online, you can contact their customer support representatives at 800-660-8908.

What is Improv’s cancellation/refund policy?

With Improv, you can cancel the course at any time. You can request a refund as long as your completion certificate has not been issued yet.

Note that all refunds will be credited back to the original credit card that you used when you paid for the course. Also, the refund will be issued within 10 days after they receive a valid cancellation request.
