Choosing the best online driving school

There are a TON of online driving schools out there. Quite frankly, most of them are garbage. It would take years for me to review them all (I only run this site part time - I'm a full time long-haul trucker). So, I stick with the big players. Of course, no normal person knows who the "big players" are in the online driving school industry. Lucky for you, I'm not normal!

How my driving school reviews are performed

I've spent a lot of time researching the schools in this driving school directory to make sure they are legitimate. After I'm sure the company is legit, I take the courses for myself, then write about my thrilling experience. I take a lot of pride in this website. So I spend hours doing all this boring stuff - for you - my fellow speeder or driving student! Ok, maybe I kinda do it for me, too, as I love watching this site grow (it's a fun hobby!). Yes, this is what I do with my free time... HA!

All of the schools I list are legitimate online driving schools

The larger, well established online driving schools in this driving school directory are all pretty good. It's the small guys you gotta worry about. Most of the smaller online traffic schools don't have the budget to put together a quality course.

Tip: don't take an online driving school if the site offers a course only available in your particular state. Go for the larger driving schools offered in multiple states.

Are these reviews biased?

Well, kinda....yeah. I try to give a fairly non-biased view of the driving courses in this driving school directory, but I do have my favorites. I'll tell you flat out that iDriveSafely is my top pick for both ticket dismissal courses as well as drivers education. I have a detailed review of their program below.

Also, I really don't post the scammy and really crappy sites at all (which there are a lot of). I just don't want to take the time writing about schools that suck. I'd rather take the time to tell you who the good schools are. So while I have my preferences, any of the schools listed below are pretty good.

My main goal for this driving school directory is to make some recommendations and also tell you exactly how the course works. For a couple of the online traffic schools, I have asked for and received permission to give out a discount to my website visitors. It's usually only 5%, but hey, every bit helps, right!?

Be safe and pick from this list

To be safe, just stick with one of the schools I have listed below. All of the schools I list have a minimum of an A rating from the Better Business Bureau (example: here's the A+ rating for the iDriveSafely online driving school.

While I do have my preferences, rest assured that none of these are scam sites and they all have a decent amount of quality, otherwise I wouldn't list them here.

Remember: Traffic school is boring!

Just remember one thing before you choose. Traffic school isn't fun! It's kind of boring. So given the choice, you'll want to avoid ever taking the courses listed in this driving school directory. But hey, if you gotta do it to dismiss that traffic ticket or take drivers ed, you might as well do it on the internet, from the comfort of your own home and at your own pace. The schools I listed below might not be the most fun thing to do, but they are simply the best out there.
